Old ulster pocket knife

Was wondering if anyone has any info ,it is ulster knife co Ny the main blade folds down the middle and the smaller blades on each side it seems old but google search came back empty attachment=3]IMG_2557.jpeg[/attachment]

That’s a dandy old knife, with that double pull main blade. Pocket knives having that blade configuration generally fall into the category called “whittler”. It’s a venerable old pattern that is said to be among the more difficult to make constructions. Which may at least partly explain why few cutleries make them today. You can find hundreds of posts here about “whittler” pattern knives. They’re one of the more popular patterns to collect.

Ja-sta1959 what's the closed length on that guy? The older Ulsters are hard to date, could have been made anywhere from the late 1800's to around 1940 but I might be able to give you a model number.

I believe we have the same knife lol! That would be model 348. At some point they dropped the double pull (older) in favor of just the long pull (newer) on the spear blade. I think that would have been around the late '20s to early '30s but I can't nail it down any closer than that.
