North American Knife Co.

Does any one have any information on the dates North American Knife Co. was in business. I have several of their knives that have a Wichita Kansas tang stamp, and some with Beaver City, Nebaska on them. Did they manufacture there own knives? Any information would be a big help.

Hi, according to Goins encyclopedia, both North Amercian Beaver City and Witchita Kansas date 1921-28. I don't know anything else about them, but based on this alone, I'd say you have an interesting collection of older knives. ::tu:: :) s-k

Nice looking knives. I will try and find more out about the mark by looking at some older books. Did you try google search for the company? Can you email a scan of the tang marks or draw a picture of them?

By the way are any of them for sale?

I looked over a few older knife magazines that I have and could not come up with anything more than what Goin's and Levine's has which is that both marks was used from 1921-1928. Very short time. Since you are from Wichita maybe a visit to the library would turn up something from the company. I would be interested in any thing you might find out about the company.

Regards Mike
