Rob that is a beauty.
I picked this one up a few weeks ago, it arrived today. Damascus by the late Chris Marks of Forged in Fire. The handles are American Elk. This Damascus is really nice. I don’t buy many fixed blades and this one is pretty nice. More information in the “Show Us Your Fixed Blade” thread.

It is Rob, but when it strikes me as special for a particular reason, I will bite. The Damascus is what got me on this one. I love Damascus knives.

This cool Rosecraft Castorea was in my box late yesterday, and it was "bombed" to me from my pal Tony at Corn Creek Cutlery, and even though I knew it was coming since Tony had asked me for my address, it was still a sweet surprise once it was in my hand!
This is a well built 8 1/4" open button-lock featuring a big fat D2 spear-point blade that includes a swedge and extended flipper-tab, black/grey G-10 covers with a shield, SS liners, button-lock blade release, brass lanyard tube, and reversible pocket-clip.
The more I see and handle these R/C knives the more I'm convinced they will make a name for themselves in today's market, thanks again Tony for opening my eyes to them!

I'm going to assume your comment is directed at me, Tim, cuz there are 2 "Marks" showing knives on this page, but only mine was a gift, but if I'm mistaken I apologize. Thanks for your nice sentiment, buddy!

This isn't anything to write home about, but I think its pretty cool for a few reasons. First its born in Seki, 1980's. Cool and double cool. Next it's not a super common pattern outside of saks, and i have a slight ocd about checking certain boxes with my edc and this checks 3 of the 5. Last it's unsharpened, so i can put my preferred edge on it ::tu::

Nice pics Q, congrats. Wow what a beauty. Love Mastodon anything, but that one has exceptional grain and color. Probably the best looking Buck I've ever seen. You scored a triple double. ::ds:: ::tu:: ::super_happy:: ::nod::

That is a gorgeous Buck Q. Really like that with the mammoth ivory. I kinda lost my focus on Buck. Started picking some up a few years ago and just let the Buck of the Months roll by. Need to look at them again.

Weirdknifeguy, I had that exact knife in a collection I purchased about 10 years ago, long sold. How are the scissors on that one? the scissors on mine didn’t meet very well and cut very poorly.

A couple of years ago I made it a practice to review each of the AAPK stores once a month. Then we got a lot of new stores in a fairly short period of time and it was no longer practical for me to make a regular investigation of each store. So I was taken by surprise when I stumbled upon the Corn Creek Cutlery story which was offering a brand of knives I had never encountered before, i.e. Rosecraft Blades

The individual knives looked to be of excellent quality, but of course one can't really be certain of quality based only on a photo. Consequently, I chose a pattern I liked and placed an order. The knife I received yesterday was very impressive.

The materials and workmanship were superb. With fine grind lines, the well polished blade is set off by Black Micarta covers. This 4.25" knife comes with tight runup, solid half stops, and a good degree of sharpness. The very modest price was a pleasant surprise.
