ka bar info please

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Superb knife!! Can't see condition from poor photos, but these never go for 3-500 on ebay, more like 800-1,000 in nice condition. Your knife was made between late 1920s-about 1941.

That's a nice find. Just based on me trying to find dogs head knives the jumbo trapper in stag is probably the third hardest pattern/handle combination to find. I haven't seen one for sale on an open forum. I've had a chance to purchase one privately for 300 but half of each blade was sharpened off. A minty one sold at a knife show last year for around $1200.00.
