Can anyone give me any info on this knife

Post by mangoeater2 »

Hi
I recently bought a "Boker Plus 0556" knife. I have attached photos to help with the identification.

I do not remember any purchase details so cannot go back to the site that I bought it from for information. I have searched the web lookingt at hundreds of pictures of Boker Plus knives but have not matched it yet.

I am wondering if it is a Boker plus knife after all.

It is a liner lock knife.

Markings on the knife: it has a circular symbol that reads "Knife design studio" and has a winged shield in the centre. It also has D2 on the blade. On the other side it has the "Boker plus" symbol and the number 0556. This possible model number "0556" does not seem to match the Boker numbering system, therefore I am thinking it is a forgery.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Boker plus are Chinese made already, so I highly doubt it would be forgery. Can you get a close up of the blade markings?

Looks legit to me, I believe that's the Mini Caracal if I'm not mistaken. I think the numbers are serial numbers.

Thank you Eric.

Yes it is the Mini Caracal. I have looked at a few videos on the Mini Caracal and note that the numbers I thought might be a model number varies on the knives in the videos, so I don't know what that is about.

It is nice to find out that it is a genuine Boker Plus and to have access to some information on it.

Once again, thank you. ::ds::
