Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

You're going to look awfully silly with that knife sticking out of your @#$. -Clint Eastwood, High Plains Drifter

Hard to read, and there are more scale options being offered.

"was used as a travel razor" -- probably more B.S. than truth, but what the heck, one of my grandmothers liked to tell how loggers sat around the camp fire sharpening their double bit falling axes until they could shave with them in the morning.

I thought the tip was to make one hand opening possible? In a world flooded with knives designed around fast one hand opening I don't see the need for its razor blade. If they also offer it with a clip point master I'll buy a few. With a spear master at least one. I'll pass on it as offered.

Since they are temporary reintroductions of designs that did not sell well enough to keep in the catalog we have to expect vault releases to not appeal to everyone. I might have been the only member here who loved the 62165 Pocket Hunter vault release a few years ago. Most of you guys hated it. It's good to see Case giving us more options.

I have one of these, somewhere, from the early 2000's I think,
before the pattern was 'vaulted'.

I have one in stag from the '90's I think. I don't hate it, but it's too small to be functional in my opinion.

Post 'em if you got 'em, I think I'm going to EDC my Delrin one from the '70's tomorrow. 😉👍 I think it's an -005 . . . ::hmm::

My now deceased BIL who lost his right arm in an accident when he was 14 carried one. So they are in fact useful.

Here’s a couple of mine, from the 1970s. They are all jigged bone. The one on the top in the picture has damage from elastic in a Hickory Hill knife roll (there were no celluloids in the roll). The pitting on the NS bolsters was too deep to buff out. ::uc::

Bottom picture is from the Case marketing release. I notice the new ones don’t appear to have blade swages. ::shrug::
