I've been on the road for most of the last 4 months. Actually "the on the road" is a misnomer, in truth I have to fly to the places I've been working.
So, staying in hotels and work camps can be pretty boring so I do a lot of searching on the Bay. This is what I came home to after my new years trip.

Something to crow about!
went to a little gun show today only 3 tables of knives. really lousy weather.
After nearly an hour of haggling, moving knives back and forth, I came home with these. I am pretty happy with the results. The Queen DFC rooster has me crowing!

Beauties all, but that stag S&M Mountain Man LB really trips my trigger. Great haul ::tu::

What number is the little fixed blade? (I'm guessing #85 Bird & Trout)

Got a pretty good deal ($25) on a Cuda (Camillus) Quik-Action Jr., a model I've wanted for quite some time. They were over $100 new back in the late '90s, and didn't seem to catch on that well. This one's a fairly early model, as it's ATS-34 and US-made--post-2003 they were 154CM and made in Taiwan.

It's still a little stiff (I got most of the debris out of the pivot, but there's still some left to dislodge), but it will open up pretty quickly. It's neither automatic nor assisted--the external button is somehow connected to the blade, and it simply pushes it open with mechanical advantage as you slide it forward. THe blade still closes with a normal linerlock.
