To me, the forums and FB groups have replaced the "Knife Club" type of socializing and talking knives. But for me, getting out to some of the big shows are still worth the drive, especially to be able to see and hold rare old knives, and ask questions with the experts. If you are able, there are great shows in Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Missouri, Florida, Oklahoma, Georgia, etc.

Is there a place on here where big shows are posted? My son is stationed at Ft. Myer, Va., he is a casket barrer at Arlington Cemetery. So I could possibly schedule a visit & a knife show.

Usually when a show gets closer, someone posts a thread asking who is going. But here is a list of some big shows East of the Mississippi River that you can look into. Some of these have been hit/miss since Covid. I haven't been to all of them, but I'd like to some day check out each one at least once.

Good question....I don't believe so......Roger was referring to Mark Zalesky who is the owner of Knife Magazine.......It's a must-read if you want to keep your finger on the pulse of the industry plus it gives you access to all the old Knife Magazine and the publication that preceded it; Knife World.

I agree, it's a great magazine. Well worth the cost, and access to back issues is even better. Mark is a great guy too, a fellow knife collector, and someone who really cares about the knife industry.

I subscribe, and, yes, it’s a very good magazine. I just wish there was more on pocket knives.
