Button hook knife
Tiny Argyle Cutlery Co with pearl scales. Kinda nifty I think. Made in Germany
How about showing your button hook knives.
You can always get more money, good old knives are hard to find.

Re: Button hook knife
The knife appears to be in very good condition for one that should be 100 years old or more.
As far as I know they are not highly collectible, but I have bought one before just because they are cute!

That's quite a fine knife, I'd be afraid to touch it for fear of it all coming apart!Mumbleypeg wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 2:50 am Here’s the best one I have. Gentleman’s grooming knife, late 1800s.

Thanks! It's actually very sturdy, except for the tortoiseshell toothpick. I'd be reluctant to try using it. Of course the MOP covers are fragile, but no more so than any MOP knife. Every time I look at it I'm amazed atglennbad wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 3:00 pmThat's quite a fine knife, I'd be afraid to touch it for fear of it all coming apart!Mumbleypeg wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 2:50 am Here’s the best one I have. The Argyle is quite a nice pattern with the hump back and long bolsters. How long is it?
Ken's knife is simply beautiful. That's a lot of articulation to keep in order. A real gem.
Here's two of mine.

A little Boker at 1 9/16" closed.

I think most of the tiny hooks were for ladies gloves, not boots or shoes.

Right on the money Charlie; and the tiny corkscrews in many of the small knives were for medicine & perfume bottles; not wine.RobesonsRme.com wrote: ↑Fri Jan 05, 2024 2:58 pm I think most of the tiny hooks were for ladies gloves, not boots or shoes.
