Newbie trying to date a Camillus TL-29

Post by AEM »

I would appreciate any help dating this Camillus TL-29. It has carbon steel blades and frame and black delrin scales. The main blade is marked "CAMILLUS" over "NEW YORK". There are no military markings and the TL-29 model designation does not appear on the knife like some military models I have seen.

If no more exact dating is possible, I guess it could said that it was made after the delrin scales were adopted but before stainless steel was introduced. If anyone knows when those changes occurred it would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Somewhere on this site is a listing of Camillus stamps with dates. I don't know where but I printed out a copy of it. According to that listing this stamp was used after 1976. Doesn't say when it was discontinued.
