Cool little autos like that one are the kind of knives that will help automatic knives to someday lose their stigma of being vicious evil weapons carried only by criminals, cuz a knife like that could easily be thought of as a gentleman's vest-pocket fingernail cleaner that anyone would carry.
A really handsome little folder!

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Got this one in on Saturday. I ordered it last month as soon as I saw it on the cover of the Shepherd Hills Cutlery catalog. It went immediately to back order so it hadn’t been made yet. Case Barnboard jigged bone Barlow. Overall I’m happy with the fit and finish of this one. The blades are better centered then I’ve come to expect with Case. The run up is still my biggest complaint with Case knives. But it sure is a pretty knife and will look good next to the purple Barnboard jigged barlow I bought a couple of months ago.

Two Rough Riders received for Christmas today. the copper knife fits into my copper collection and the tiny Nute blade will be a fun mini-pocket carry after I get a lanyard braided.

Mark, how's the snap and half stop on the barlow? I swore not to buy another Case without handling it first but....Sharpnshinyknives wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 1:14 am Got this one in on Saturday. Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
This came in the mail today .. "got me another one" for the collection.
I have been collecting Buck fixed blades, 110s, and the 300 series mostly, as well as Alpha Hunters. I like 'em all! This is my first 500 series ... will have to "get me another one". This is my first purchase from an AAPK member since I joined. Got it from Kennedy Knives. Great experience!
Like to add, I have done some posting since joining, but have not mentioned I am new. I was a lurker ... if that is the right word for about 1 1/2 years. I am glad I joined! Should have done it sooner ... This is a great site to be a member of! Many thanks to all for the info I have gleaned from your posts!

There had to be at least one flaw for it to be selling for the price it is, I guess that's the one.
Thx for the info!

Beautiful coloring on your new Case, Mark, and it sure seems Moki's have ruined your outlook on other run-ups. What can ya do, it might cause you to appreciate your Moki's that much more, and that's a good thing!
That's a great pair of R/R's there, Jeeper, the copper on those almost makes it a totally different knife. I have a copy of their teenie-tiny "Cub" with emerald green covers, and even that tiny little knife is rock-solid. Yep, I'm a R/R fan!
Wow, somebody loves you, Floyd, what an exceptional knife. I've only had friendly professional interactions when dealing with Gary, he's a sharp businessman yet helpful and accommodating to your needs, in other words, he's a great guy!

It looks like you also have folks who think you're pretty o.k., Dogg, that's one cool trapper your son gave you. I wasn't sure if "pocket worn from my son" meant worn-down or worn-carried, but judging by it's condition I'm goin' with the former!
What a beautiful Buck you have there, CCC, and right outta the series I admire the most. Is yours a 500/501....or? I really like how they have the blade blending nice n' smoothly into the handle at the tang, much better than the clip-point look, IMO. Welcome, man!
And imagine that, Gary/Kennedy Knives involved in yet another pleasant and easy transaction, my goodness!
