Especially enjoy the long distance shot encompassing many cars. The close up thru the trees is also appealing. Nice work Ike.

Don, my youngest brother is on MoW at CSX, my dad did 43 years with B&O/Chessie/CSX and my grandfather worked 49 years at B&O and loved it. My great grandfather was a blacksmith at Western Maryland RR, and at the ripe old age of 25 decided to get into the dairy business.

I wasn't out chasing trains, just happened upon this coal train and took pics through my windshield. Train pics are all about timing, 5 seconds either way and I wouldn't have gotten the locos. The FedEx driver gave me a funny look.

FYI train fans.......there is a program on RFD (ch 345 on DirectTV) titled "Trains & Locomotives". I have seen parts of 2 episodes and would say it is well worth watching, what I have seen is well done video of steam locomotives. It airs on Mondays at 4 pm central.

I used to watch it all the time, until Dish jacked our rates up. I did DVR about 2 dozen episodes, and some I Love Toy Train episodes. 🚂 🎉

The wife and I were doing our normal coffee 4 miler this morning when I spotted this through the trees-

I was surprised to see her running switching duties in the transloading incinerator/asphalt yards. But I guess power is power on the NS. ::nod::
