I finally got home after being gone several months and found these 5 new one waiting for me. I actually forgot about ordering the Launch 6. Excuse the dirty reloading bench.

Just noticed another odd ball knife on my desk. It looked like a run of the mill electricians knife, the TL-29 pattern. These knives are usually cheap and easy to come by. They are the ones that Glenn turns into works of art with great handles and blade modifications. What caught my eye was the tang stamp, OK, Ontario Knife. Have no idea if this is a Queen made knife? Blades are unsharpened, the handles leave a lot to be desired.

Miss Kim, It looks great, it's a solid knife, it would make a great EDC for someone who just needs a knife.Kimzilla wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 6:58 amI really like that first onetreefarmer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 3:06 am Three more low end knives came to Starvation Plantation last week:001.JPG003.JPG004.JPG

Most years I don't bother with "receiving" the "gift" that is offered by the NRA-ILA but this one caught my eye. I guess I just like trappers. But to be honest, I wouldn't just out right buy one for my personal use. They've got to be really inexpensive to be offered as a gift for a donation where the bottom-line donation is $28.00.
Been an NRA member since 1973 and have chosen to pass over quite a few "gifts" over those years.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I ordered a Case Purple Bone stockman... It looked great,
great bones .... then when inspecting the blades...
the sheep's hoof blade is bent/off set too much and set too far over and won't close w/o pushing on it to the side and the main blade won't close as well w/o pushing the sheep's hoof blade over out of the way to the side. The main blade is rubbed by the sheep's hoof blade
So I will be looking at making a return... a brand-new knife should not have been shipped from the factory like this!

Wow Kim, that is gorgeous!!Kimzilla wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 10:57 pm I got this scrimshaw knife from Silver Stag Knives today. I wasn't sure when it was arriving because they make them to order. They have other cool designs and they can customize one to your specifications as well, which I think is neat.
They are a small business with only 12 employees. They gave me a coupon code for 15% off if anyone is looking to buy a cool knife "STAG15".

Oxark, I’m also a fan of LionSteel. I have one with Micarta covers. I like yours better ! Do you know the name of that model ? Does it also have a rounded back spring instead of flush ? I’ve never got a knife made in Maniago that I wasn’t pleased with. Maserin, Fox and MKM are other excellent Italian made knives. This Maserin I have is similar in shape to yours. My LionSteel is more of a cigar shape, with a rounded back spring which protrudes ever so slightly.

Kim,
You are definitely on a roll ! Every knife you’ve posted lately has been exceptional and beautiful.
I also commented on Ozarks latest acquisition. I’m also a fan of LionSteel as well as many other knives made in Maniago. They are all high quality but only some appeal to me aesthetically. I don’t care for the clunky so called tactical knives. The LionSteel I have has a rounded back spring that protrudes slightly. A nice touch I’ve never seen on any other knife.

It is the JK1 UL. It does in fact have the rounded back spring. I have never seen that done before, and I like it!OSCAR wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2023 9:54 amOxark, I’m also a fan of LionSteel.
