Long shot,112 blade needed

Hoyt Buck produced the first Buck Knife in 1902. Hoyt and his son Al moved to San Diego and set up shop as H.H. Buck & Son in 1947. Al Buck revolutionized the knife industry in 1964 with the infamous Model 110 Folding Hunter. The company's innovative history and attention to quality have made for many great collectible knives.

A modern blade won't work in a knife that old. If you send it to Buck they'll probably just send you a new knife. Your best hope for a blade is to find a donor knife from a antique shop or an auction site.

Buck has a “forever warranty”. They charge $10.00 to replace a blade. I have sent several 112s and 110s in for blade replacement and they always replaced the blade regardless of the age of the knife. The blade will be one from recent production and they will not send the old blade back. I remember something about the locking bar geometry being changed at some point so your old blade may not lock up properly if you try to switch it out after a re-blade.

Thanks guys for the info , think I’ll just have to leave the old blade for now ,sending to the states isn’t cheap these days and possibly there charge to send it back ,I’ll probably eventually just buy a new 112 and retire the old one ::tu::
