Have a new (to me) knife that says Winchester on it but I can’t find anything similar online to it… going to use it to make 5 finger Fillet videos for TikTok(lol I know) & I’m wondering if it’s a fake/unlicensed or, hopefully, it’s part of a set… but nonetheless, any information on this knife would be greatly appreciated…

The only true "made by Winchester" knives are pretty much antiques. Most others (like yours) are made for Winchester by other makers, and usually imported.Justice and Love wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 11:34 pm Have a new (to me) knife that says Winchester on it but I can’t find anything similar online to it… going to use it to make 5 finger Fillet videos for TikTok(lol I know) & I’m wondering if it’s a fake/unlicensed or, hopefully, it’s part of a set… but nonetheless, any information on this knife would be greatly appreciated…
So yours is NOT a fake - it is a real, licensed Winchester knife, produced for them by another knife maker.

Ahhh ok… I was researching online & I did see some random company producing Winchester knifes… but wasn’t expecting it to be more then one company producing the brand… so now I know finding out actual “model/type” is going to be much more difficult then I originally thought… would you happen to know any websites that might help me???
&thank you for your help…

Back to work, today's OTF. With this knife, all you have to do is think about cutting something and it's cut.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Good looking knife. And I always enjoy knives that are exceptionally sharp.

If I make it I'll post something. I was there last year and the old knife section was pretty bare, they were in the process off changing things around a it was so different from what I remembered before covid1967redrider wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 2:33 pm
Herb and I were just talking about our visits to the Blue Roof on Sunday.
He went early 2000's and I was there 2011, when the National Knife Museum was open and Steve _________ had a vintage knife corner (overpriced at the time in my opinion, but probably a deal in today's market). Herb said the Museum was still under construction and all they were selling was Frost type Chinese knives on the main floor and junk in the basement. My guess is Pipes sold most of the Museum knives that were donated on eBay.![]()
You'll have to keep us posted about what's going on there now.![]()

That’s an awesome Balisong, I vaguely remember seeing that on AAPK actually, I was debating on buying it.aha I’m no Balisong pro, but I’ve learned the basic moves a little. It’s a miracle that I’ve never cut myself in using one.lol Nice knife though man!Kimzilla wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 9:22 pmI bought this one from AAPK, it's stamped Philippines and the seller said it was WWII era. It's so old it doesn't swing right, but that's ok.WindyCity4Life wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 5:59 pm I brought these two fine pieces of craftsmanship out with me today. I’m a huge Case knife collector, and have many Case knives. As for automatics, I only have this Frank Beltrame, my childhood Rizzuto and a Latama picklock. This Frank B. happened to be on my dresser this morning, so I said what the hell, I always have at least two knives on my person daily anyways.aha I’m in the market for a vintage Manila Balisong, but they’re so hard to find.

There's something I need to know.
I recently watched a movie where a guy holding a Microtech OTF similar to yours, stabbed it overhand with force into a wooden pole after he was finished using it, and it stuck as firmly as can be.
With any OTF I've handled if you did that, the blade would go limp and collapse back into the body.
Are those M/tech's REALLY that good that the blade won't collapse under those circumstances?
I've heard that when the blade is deployed there is absolutely zero wobble, or any type of movement in any direction for that matter, very much similar to a fixed blade knife!
Inquiring minds want to know!
Thx!
P.S.- Nice knife, I love the color!
