::welcome::
Welcome to AAPK!
I believe that EIG was a German maker. I don't have any other information, but a quick search of "EIG" using the Search feature will probably yield many different knives by this maker.
I can say that your knife has some BEAUTIFUL stag on the handles!
Jesus is life.
Everything else is just a hobby.

Your knife is definitely German made. EIG is not the most recognizable German maker but they did produce some good quality cutlery. This "Bowie" knife has been marketed by other German companies, i.e. Carl Schlieper (Eye Brand), Anton Wingen (Othello) and several others. "Genuine Bowie Knife" is a marketing term but has been a very effective one. Yours is an excellent example in very nice condition, along with great stag scales. It's a keeper for sure.
