Microtech HALO or HALO II ?

Post by prober996 »

I always believed that this knife was an original HALO model, made in 3/98, as etched into the blade. But discussions on a few different Microtech forums lead me to believe that it may actually be an early HALO II model, even though it is marked HALO. Are there any experts out there who can add some clarity to this topic? Thanks in advance!

Thanks redrider. So it does appear to be an early HALO II. I see that ACK has the exact same model newly for sale for $2500. Wow! Can that be a realistic value?

To get top, top dollar for a vintage Microtech HALO you need the gold foil box, paperwork, sheath, and pristine condition. It'll be fun to watch to see if those HALO II's listed at ACK for $2,500 sell. That would surprise me. I would expect closer to half that, or a little less to move them.
