Wow Joe that Saddlehorn knife is beautiful. I know what you mean when you mention “the one”. I keep handling knives and get that feeling about a knife and then I get to thinking about keeping it and using it. Just can’t bring myself in many cases to use a great knife like that. More power to ya.

Nice Wade. I didn’t see that before I posted my last one. Love a Congress with step bolsters like that. The horn just makes it that much better.

I did get in a Case Barlow. Purple barn board jigged bone. Very pleased with the color on these and I am a big fan of barn board jigging.

Nice find Mark, love the purple. How's the snap? I swore not to buy another Case without handling it first?

The snap is good. Has strong half stops as well.

Beautiful knife CW !!
I’ve had mixed luck with FleaBay. I’ve gotten some great knives there, and some bad ones.
Looks like you scored a winner !

Thanks Mark and Oscar. I’ve had mixed luck too with eBay and bid this thinking I wouldn’t have a chance but was the only bid. I got a Remington R392 last week off the bay and have been happy with it. It’s my first Remington, it has half stops and is a great size for pocket carry.

I posted this under What's it Worth. Just arrived an Adolphus Busch bartenders knife with A. Kastor & Bros NewYork. The picture of Adlophus is clear and there is a small chip of enameling missing on one end.

Here is another relatively new pickup of mine. It came in a lot of knives and this was the best of the bunch. Omega Import Co. switchblade with horn handles. Pretty clean. The handles are in really good shape. Scares the crap out of me.

Thanks! If I get it in the right light I can still see a faint etch. I looked at the tang stamp chart and think it’s from 1921-24 but I’m not positive.

Pops!
I commented on your bartender knife in the other thread, but hadn't seen your Omega automatic yet.
That knife is one you should definitely do research on before parting with it, cuz even though I don't really know much about value I can tell by just looking at it that it's worth some good money to the right collector, IMO. Don't mess with it since many prefer their knives looking older and used, so leave it as-is and see what comes.
You might want to post pictures of it in the "Switchblade Collectors Forum" where you can ask your questions and others can see it.
Very nice older auto, and BTW, you should be scared of it!

Thanks. I will post the Omega on the switchblade thread. I do not have any intention of selling. It is now part of my collection although it is not in this pic. Pic was from a few years back.

That’s a beautiful Congress, Wade, and so is that Case Barlow, SSK!
Great find on that Remington, Wade! 1921-24 period, right?
And, Pops, your collection is awesome! Really enjoyed looking these!

This Pal Cutlery Co. camp knife showed up yesterday:
Steel bolsters, liners and shackle.

It appears to have the factory edge on the spear blade. There is bluing on the concave side of the punch.
Note the bluing on the punch.

The cap lifter/screwdriver and the can opener both have half stop positions. I've never encountered a Pal with such strong springs! I believe this one has been laying in a sock drawer for close to 70 years, never used. ::hmm::

The well is also very clean:

Another "low water" prize. ::tu::

I fell behind on this particular thread and in catching up I am being blown away.
Joe, your Saddlehorn is a treasure.
Wade, I think your Congress is superlative.
Mark, I think your Barlow is outstanding for precisely the virtues you enumerated: color and barnboard jigging.

These and others are superb acquisitions. Congratulations to all.

Thanks for the comments, fellers!
Ike, that one didn't need any polishing. There is a couple of spots that do need a bit of help, one is on the punch/awl. Like I posted, this one probably has spent its' life in a drawer somewhere. ::shrug::
