In Texas you can take Up to 4 Rio Grande Turkeys in the fall and can hunt with either rifle or shotgun. Wild Turkey is infinitely better than domestic but I don't recommend you bother with the legs because wild turkeys run most places and have very tough sinewy thin legs.

Those are some big fat turkeys. I'm not sure how many is normal to get in one outing, but congratulations! Getting ready for Thanksgiving early I guess. I've never had fresh turkey before, but I'll bet it's waaay better than the frozen Butterball kind.

Actually Kim there not,wild turkey is tougher but they make good fingerlits in a frying pan with butter

Thanks bud. Ouch, that's too hot for Oct. Had a tiny bit of rain, mostly dry, and 59 degree high here. Very pleasant.
