Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
I had my last male dog Buddy, died a year ago. If you tried to keep him inside, he literally chewed up wooden window sills. He was a free spirit.
After that post Kim, might want to shoo him away. Fear? I can understand not wanting a cat in the house. Mine are outdoor cats and quite happy.
If they have a problem with an outdoor cat, that's a problem. You are only talking food and water for the critter at that point. They also catch rodents that might otherwise make it into your house.
Something seems off here. It's a freaking outdoor cat. Am I missing something?

Well said Oscar. Pretty cat and good on you for doing that!
Good deal Kim.
Have to say whole situation seems odd and off. It's an outdoor cat. Do it or don't. Besides cost of food and maintenance, who cares? Great joy and enrichment with my outdoor cats. They come and go like I do as they please. What I like about them. No offense intended at all.

zp4ja…..
What a beautiful dog Elsa is !!!!
I truly believe that dogs and cats are gifts from God. I like them way more than people.
My dog developed severe allergies. Food I could change but $900 scratch test results showed that it is environmental. I give her weekly shots. So far for this year alone…. about $6,000. She’s worth every penny. And (took about 2 years) but she’s doing fantastic. She is being seen by a veterinarian dermatologist !!! Regular vet didn’t help so I drive her to a specialist.
They are not pets. They are family ! And way better than the 2 legged family members.

Elsa is a sweet looking dog Jerry. Very nice picture.
Interesting that you have given your dog allergy shots Oscar. We have one that is sneezing constantly this time of year. He has a lot of skin issues as well. He is always up for a scratch.
Here is an annual photo my wife takes of our dog pack out on a walk on the bike path. We live just about 400 feet from the path so it’s a good place to walk. As you can see it’s also beautiful this time of year.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
Thank you Garry and Ike. I think the color is just about as good as I’ve ever seen around here. Taking lots of pictures this year. We have been so dry for such a long time, I think that has made the colors brighter this year. Just had two days of rain and it won’t be as pretty now, but we needed the rain.
You should see when these leases get all mixed up. It’s a constant juggling act to keep them straightened out. They all have to smell the same thing. I can’t imagine being so driven by scents but my whole pack will follow any scent they pick up.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
Thanks for the compliment Kim.
Oscar, thank you as well. She is a sweet soul. Love my dogs and cats. Better than humans sadly as you stated. No people food, sleeping on my bed, getting on couch. Other than that they are my best friends.
Odd about the allergies. Good on you for stepping up.
My Sister's dog just developed a gastro issue. Prescription kangaroo meat wet and dry.
Great looking pack Mark. I am blessed. Think she reports to God on how I am doing. Can use all the help I can get. St. Jude, if you get my meaning. Thanks for the compliment as well.

Absolutely NO people food. It’s not good for them. Mine go where they want. Don’t bother me if they get on the couch or bed.
Check with a vet first, but a company calledMy Sister's dog just developed a gastro issue. Prescription kangaroo meat wet and dry.
Zignature has both a wet and dry kangaroo. It’s probably cheaper as it’s not prescription.
I’ve gotten it at a fancy pet food store.
Wet is about $4 a can. Dry is roughly $2 a pound. Comes in two different size bags. Here’s a link to their website:

Thanks for the lead Brother. My Sister has more money than one can spend in a lifetime. She tried a bunch of different food until they hit this one. Straightened him out and ain't cheap. Not sure why it is prescription. Must have added ingredients over normal roo food.
Did you know products with roo meats are not allowed for sale in California? No evil old school light bulbs. But you can shoplift under 900 bucks, defecate and do drugs in the street, and all sorts of additional madness with zero repercussions. Ridiculous!
Why I moved from So Cal in 96' to rural Nevada. Best choice I ever made.

NOTHING surprises me about The People’s Republic of California !!
Unfortunately, the craziness is spreading across the country. No shortage of idiots. Moving buys us time (I grew up in NYC and got out in the’70s) but unfortunately it seems to follow us.

Flushing Queens born 1964" and raised till 8 years there.
Those were the days my friend!
Then Cali and now rural North Nevada for last 27 years.
Insulated for the time being from the madness. We don't buy into that around here.

Thank you all for your comments.
We've been contemplating getting another dog for quite some time.
We held off first because Becky was working. Neither of us like the idea of leaving a dog alone all day long.
Then we held off because of Becky's health. Actually, I think the pup is the best medicine she's taken so far!

I’m sure that your fur baby is the best medicine ! After retiring from hospital work for over 40 years, I avoid doctors. I’d have to be critical before I visit one. One thing I learned is that the people on the most medications are the sickest. It’s the medication that makes them sicker. It’s way more profitable for doctors to have sick patients than to make them better. Of course not all doctors practice this way but the majority overprescribe meds. There are a few old timers that actually have the patients best interest at heart. They practice medicine to help people not to further their wealth.

Re: SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!
Beautiful dog Steve. Glad to know another dog was rescued.
Kim, that cat house looks great. We made one for our Stella when she decided to adopt us many years ago. We used outdoor paneling and used spray on foam insulation between the inner layer and the outer layer and some spare carpet remnant and put an outdoor heating pad in there, we also got a heated water bowl. Worked for here many years until she passed last year.
Pictures of my dogs playing in a pile of leaves. We had a strong blow yesterday and it really dropped the leaves. I kicked this little pile together with my boots in a couple of minutes, then just stood back and waited for the dogs to discover it. I think dogs like a pile of leaves better than kids. Bristol always buries herself in the pile and takes on all comers.
