Western 062 Brought Back from the Brink
This one was heavily used and somewhat abused. The blades were pitted and badly stained but fairly full. I decided to hand finish the blades to a 400 grit finish. They cleaned up pretty well.
For the handles, I used some stabilized Amboyna wood and topped the mark side off with a custom stainless steel shield.
The pivot pin just flat out refused to blend in on the mark side so I left it (not a big issue but one of those things that just drives me crazy!!!).
She's ready for another few years of use. Jeff

I love the shield, but also the beautiful grain on that wood!
It was a great choice, and you did a super job, as always!
