Better pictures of my 11" transitional. The tuxedo style horn is one of my favorite styles.

If I was a fan of fishtails, Smits, I doubt I'd have resisted either!

Tks Marco! It is one of my favorite knives.
"Oh wow! What a contrast! Nice knife!"
Tks JW! It is my first Italian auto.
"What is the knife in the picture you posted?"
Kim... unless my eyes are mistaken, the fishtail is a Latama. Is that correct JW?

Yes it is. I fellow wanted me to buy it but I think he wants 800-1000. The antler fish is Falcon. Owned by AGA Campolin. The black horn fish is Latama.

I’m tinkering with the idea of making one but I hate to fail.

If AGA Campolin never tried we wouldn't have all his great knives, so go for it, Smitty!

"Well I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die!"
I know that feeling only too well, Kim, no matter how many I acquire I immediately want more, more, more...."With a rebel yell she cried more, more, more!"

Re: Some of my autos!
I can certainly relate. Last fall, I found one of the autos I had as a youth in a box. Went online to see what I could discover about it and fell right down the rabbit hole.
I used to do a little but a little wouldn't do So the little got more and more

When you have been around this stuff as long as I have you know a lot. I know more than most collectors unless they live in Canada. I have the “eye” for stuff like this. I showed them to Bill. He told me.

Yes he did. They were in an auction somewhere. They were up to 80-90 dollars so far. It appears they are about 35.00 max if you buy them from China directly.

Yes Kim! Anytime I see the letters AKC on a knife I get nervous.

I was told you should be able to see the R for Registered Trademark inside the canopy of the letter A. Mine is China and is just a dot. I have never seen a “Real” AKC Roma close up so I can’t say for sure.

I bought it from China. 15.00 shipped. Best Buy I made in a while too. If it has a round rod spring inside I’d say it’s China too. If it’s flat it’s Italy I bet.

Re: Some of my autos!
I have a REAL 13 in. Stiletto from AKC here and yes it has a tiny R ,but I bought it 18 years ago too. It’s real and it does not work either.
Yours must be Italian if it does not work either.
. Mine was dead dull too where the Chinese knife shaves hair. Go figure

Yes that’s it. AKC world is something different all together I think. I have never seen that stamped on a tang. I don’t know if a real Roma has brass liners either. Yours look like steel, mine are steel.
