Venue change for Knife Show in Massachusetts

Being a Member of the NCCA I received this email yesterday about our up-coming November show:

Fellow NCCA [Northeast Cutlery Collectors Association] Members:
Please be advised the NCCA will no longer hold the one day shows at the Marlboro Holiday Inn and Suites location. The NCCA has been shut out from using this location as it is being used as a "migrant shelter" by the State.
The Holiday Inn franchise has allowed the NCCA to move our contracted dates to the Peabody MA location below.

I hope all those who travel from points West and South can "make the adjustment" and continue coming to these shows.

Yeah, this sucks for we NY members. It was already close to three hours up to Marlborough and longer going home due to traffic. Now the ride home looks worse by having to go around Boston and it's traffic. What amazes me is that they are using a high end hotel for the illegals rather than a Motel 6 or Super 8. Hopefully it won't last long and we can return to Marlborough. Heck, it was bad enough when they moved from E Windsor to Marlborough.

And thanks to those in the NCCA who have scouted for locations, I know that a lot of work had to go into finding a new location and making the changes.

Given that our esteemed (sarc) governor has declared a "state of emergency" in Massachusetts due to the "immigrant issues", I guess that we are fortunate to have found any location.

The alternative media is full of stories about people getting kicked out of hotels or having their existing reservations cancelled since the state can pay double or more for the same rooms to house "immigrants". The most egregious being the rooms that veterans and others had reserved in and around Foxboro for the Army/Navy game.
