What's your price range? They run from $40 - $1,000+. Functionally they all work the same, but fit, finish and materials dictate the wild price range.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Kershaw Launch series are pretty good, reasonable price, easy to get, lots of styles. Also check out Templar knives. Viper Tech are about the same, under a hundred bucks and very good knives and another brand called Cobra Tech. Several hundred bucks less than a Microtec anyway, not sure what you want to spend, but there are tons of options around if you google them or just surf knife sites like KnivesShipFree, DLT Trading, GPKnives: Grand Prairie Knives, KnifeCenter are just a few. Here's a link to a place that rates OTF knives too if you're interested. Get a decent idea of what one perspective is.
Also Blade HQ has a bunch available in about all price ranges. They seem to beat a lot of the others prices too.

My youngest son loves his MicroTech OTF. They're not cheap. He's had his for several years, carries it daily and it's still going strong. Not sure which model he has but it's ambidextrous opening - he's a lefty. The opener is on the edge of the frame rather than one side.

Thanks for sharing some good info. I should have been more specific on my parameters. I am currently working on a Microtech Eotech..not much of a superb all around EDC, but after many years of packing a Buck 110, I am ready for something a little different and a lot smaller.
Thanks again for the input.

Just a thought- Microtech does 80 and 70% sized knives. ::nod::

Can’t go wrong with Microtec. However if you want a good knife at a lesser price, these are a lot of bang for your buck.

You are correct, and here's the one I have- https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... e#p1016330

I do have a Microtech now for comparison, and they are definitely comparable in fit and finish.

1967redrider,
They are made in the USA.
That one you bought is the one I am thinking of getting next . I like the natural G10 handles.
They also make steel stands and thick steel plates for target shooters. A very good company all around and (if I’m not mistaken)
it’s run by veterans and they hire all veteran employees.

1967redrider,
I just purchased the Krate Ghost. Double edged OTF knife. Got it locally. Was going to get the natural G10 handled one also but decided to wait on it. Didn’t want to drop over $300 on 2 knives. I’ll get the other one in a few months.

1967redrider, The only difference in this knife from yours, the Ghost is double edged and uses black G10 instead of the Jade natural G10.
I do plan to the Jade as well. Maybe next month.

Beauty, love the color and the red screws and the contrast. Very cool looking knife, hope it works great for you.
