Got UGLY?

Post by knife7knut »

'' Beauty(or ugly) is in the eye of the beer holder.''. Some of the more unattractive knives accumulated over the years. Please feel free to add any of your own.

I like that top one it’s odd. Any idea who the maker is? The second to last looks like a bedazzled dog turd.

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

I'll have to check when I get home. The '' blingy canine excretia '' is from Yemen or Lebanon. I have a fixed blade version also.

Ray, the two in the 5th picture down, we once called them Wyoming Knives. I was gifted one and at least the gut-hook part does work, never was comfortable with the open blade. The way we dress deer, by the time we get to using the gut hook we've already used a comfortable knife and it is much easier to just continue with the one in hand. I lost the little blade protector early on when I first got the knife probably 20 years ago.
Ugly comes close on some of the knives you shared but strange also might be an adjective that would apply. ::hmm::

Here are the tang stamps. Not sure what C Z 1978 stands for. Star sales was a wholesaler abased(I believe) in Georgia.
Here is a pic of the,'' dog turd'' knife with it's fixed blade counterpart.

Thanks! I’ll keep an eye out on the bay for one.

I kinda like the Alaska one. Is it a friction folder?
