Nice!

Mine's a 4-dot as well! My great uncle carried his a lot deer hunting, and I got it alongside knives other relatives had picked over and left because of damage. I paired it with a roughly period-correct sheath (which unlike the box-style sheath Case makes now, holds the knife tightly), and do carry it into the woods on occasion in place of a fixed blade. I make sure to tie a boot lace through the hole and to a belt loop, however. I have three older Cases that are EDCs--'40-64 Hawkbill, '76 Folding Hunter, and '77 Large Congress. All three of these have such strong snap, they will lop off a finger if you're not careful.

I like the Buck 110, but I've found that alongside a checkbook wallet (yes, I still carry one--and I'm probably the only twenty-something who still does) a Folding Hunter is sleeker in my left front pocket.

Carried, but didn't really use a 1987 Case Mako. It's one of my "finer" knives for dressier chores, but I decided I'd carry it today on a whim.

I like the Buck 110, but I've found that alongside a checkbook wallet (yes, I still carry one--and I'm probably the only twenty-something who still does) a Folding Hunter is sleeker in my left front pocket.

"I make sure to tie a boot lace through the hole and to a belt loop" that is a great tip Doing that same thing saved me from losing my Spyderco about 20 something years ago... about when you might have been born ... or probably before...

...And... On this forum when I see the phrase "twenty-something"... it normally means when the person writing the post was born ... "I was born back in the twenty-somethings" "1921,,, 22...23 ...but I can't quiet remember..."

I got lucky on this one- Frank's Classic sent out a pre-release email and I was able to snag it at cost, as opposed to eBay mark-up.

Ohhh how sweet it is... Like my mama used to say "Better to born lucky than _____ (you fill in the blank). That is one GEC I would BDC (Beer Day Carry) and put to use... I will find one some day....

Oh, and to add; That is a great looking 1987 Case Mako. I have a Case Mako, and they are sweet! But, like you, I put my Buck 110 to the "hard use" or my Case XX Hunter...it fits nice and snug in my pocket or on my belt.

Paul, I can't quite put my finger on it but there is something about that Barlow that really draws me. I think it is a very interesting acquisition and see why you traded for it.

It’s got a nice character to it , needs a bit of tweaking but will bet plenty of carry
