Generic

Post by pearlgearl »

Just wanted to apologize for putting all those China knives in with all the beautiful knives on here. Just keep in mind that I didnt choose my stock it chose me! But I do think that there is a knife for every man and it is good to have some smalls as you may call it something good for the looky lous so they can leave a couple dollars in the register before they walk out if that is all they have.

Don't apologize, please.
This is not an "American" knife forum, but just a Knife Forum!
There are some members here who will not buy or carry a Chinese-manufactured knife, but there are plenty here who will and do.
Putting politics aside, a knife is designed to cut things. If it can do that, then it belongs on our forum!

I just assume many of the guys that buy from me do the trade shows and stuff and those shows can be a great place to earn a few dollars. If you only have hundred dollar knives you are only selling to people that have hundred in their pocket

Whereas I avoid Chinese made knives personally, I have offered a few in my store. Don’t apologize for selling those, like you said it’s all some can afford. A.G. Russell changed my mind about the Chinese made knives since he started having a lot of his knives made in China. The quality is top notch. Boker Plus and Boker Magnum offer some very fine knives made in China. The quality on those is surprising and at a great price point. Rough Rider is of course a brand the SMKW has put on the map and now they are offering some very high quality knives, at affordable prices.
Some people will never come around to buying Chinese made knives and you can’t change their minds. Don’t try and don’t take it personal if they say something about it. I think it’s great that you offer those in your store.
