hand carved native theme

Post by ogrickesteves »

I bought this last year for $27. The blade is a cold steel red river skinner blank. The case is wood was hand carved by the seller. Anyone have any idea what tribe/group this art resembles?

I agree with the Aztec or Mayan theme. the large earings are typical. Also, it looks like a llama on the earing itself.

The lower figure looks like it's standing on a sacrificial knife, the one's that look like ulu's

Can you tell us what it says on the ear ring? I can make out the word "sol" (sun).
