Canastota Knife Co 2 blade

Post by QGofLake »

I've got a Canastota pocket knife and read they were only made between 1875-1895. Found a Canastota Knife Co catalog online and it appears the knife is a No. 3620. It has the tortoise shell scales, silver bolsters, brass liners, etc. I can find little else. Do people collect these and anyone have pictures of Canastota knives? It is a cool little knife.

Thank you all! No doubt a piece of history. Any thoughts on value? I haven't been able to find anything similar.

Nice find! You’ll probably be surprised to learn several Canastota pocket knives have sold on eBay in the last few months. An advanced search for sold listings only for ”Canastota knife” will give you a ballpark value. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Ca ... &LH_Sold=1

If you haven't ’t already read it, take a look through the posts in the “What’s it worth” thread also. Some good advice there. viewtopic.php?t=77592
