How The Good Lord Is Taking Care Of My Daughter

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Thank you, Phil, Tom and Jim. I appreciate your thoughts.

QS - You're right...I'll need to encourage his mama to contact the 'scouts' and get him into the ads / commercials. He's got that perfect smile.

To My Amazing Dad and Every Single One of You That Prayed...

There are not enough words in our human language to express the gratitude and thankfulness I have for each of you. The pouring out of prayers, love, and encouragement to our family during one of the hardest seasons has been one of the greatest blessings I'll ever receive.
I'm not proud that it's taken me this long to come to the end of this beautiful thread and share my gratitude, but I'm thrilled that I get to announce that that once 4.7lb NICU baby is now 9 months old and 17lbs. I call him "the happiest baby on the block". He smiles all day, he laughs at all his sisters, and he's eager to find his place in our loving family. He's been a joy to bring into this world and it will continue to be a joy to raise him into an extraordinary young man. We walked a hard road to get here, one that continued to be hard for many months after coming home, but I believe we're on the other side of all that. We press forward. We thank God daily for His goodness and mercy on our family.
I have printed out this entire thread to add to the collection of cards and writings we've received. We're approaching the one year mark of me being admitted to the hospital and with that comes a flood of emotions. You are a group of incredible people that "walked" this journey with us, and this one year mark is celebrated even more because of the cherished words you spoke here. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You will forever be a part of Nicholas's story and he will one day be able to read your prayers and thoughts to him and the gratitude will continue on. You've created a ripple effect in our hearts and I'm forever grateful for each of you.
Forever indebted,
Lisa (with Ryan, Nathan, Norah, Naomi, Nadelyn, Nadia, Neely, Nya, and Nicholas)
