In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Hi,
I am a new member and relatively new slip joint maker. I made these inspired by the Remington R1178 Mini-bullet. I really liked the size and shape of the R1178. Yes, blasphemy possibly, but I did take the Remington apart to use as a hard pattern.

There is nothing blasphemous about that!
You have made beautiful creations based upon a tried-and-true design.
Every knife takes elements from earlier designs and blends them with new creativity.
Keep on posting them as you make them!!

Nothing blasphemous about it. Many of today’s better custom knife makers are inspired by classic traditional patterns. “Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery”.

Those are some mighty fine-looking knives. I'm especially fond of the one with Micarta covers. ::tu::
