Get Out Your LGIVs
Hi I recently acquired this little pearl penknife. It was inlcuded along with the two knives I wanted. It is marked H & C Solingen. Can anyone help by looking it up for me please or perhaps you are already familiar with this mark. Goins list it but no info at all. Any info re maker and age would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi S/K,
I gave it a try and looked in my Levines guides both 3rd and 4th editions. Both have approx. the same article entitled "History of the Solingen Cutlery Industry". Nice read but I can't find anything that might be helpful on this knife. There is a list of some of the important Solingen firms dating from before 1850. The names, dates founded and Trademarks used on the knives vary. But I don't see anything ref H&C.
I'll keep looking. I like the hunt.
later, kj
