Treating myself
Been looking at it for several weeks. Just bought this off eBay, as a gift from me to me. I love the way I treat myself.

That's a nice one, Jerry. Treats are always good in-between pay days, er...meals.

Re: Treating myself
Just be sure and thank yourself, Jerry!
Good looking knife. RRs are hard to resist - with a rare exception, they are darned good quality! And, of course, look what you’re getting for the price!

Re: Treating myself
Nice! RRs are pretty affordable, which makes them really good impulse buys. I usually buy one first when trying out a pattern (Loom Fixer), or as a beater version of a nicer pattern (Barlow, Jumbo Stockman, Folding Hunter, hawkbill, TL-29, Whittler). RR's big Wharncliffe Whittler is, by far, my favorite carpentry knife. Chances are, when I'm doing anything involving working with wood, it's in my pocket for marking and such.
That reminds me. I need to get another Marbles USGI Utility. I bent the screwdriver on mine doing something stupid (way too crusty of a paint can was pried open with it). At least it was a knife that was $9.99, as opposed to my rarer SAKs.

Nice blue, good looking knife. I love how you got your priorities straight. I'm working on it.

Re: Treating myself
Jerry, it is only proper when someone treats you with a new knife, to return the favor. If I were you I get them something really knice. That is purdy. That is a great gift, especially if the giver is also the getter. Enjoy!

Nice treat, Jerry. It sure is nice to open the mailbox and find something like that in it!
