WW2 United Pilot Giant Jack

I recently got a United GR Mich. pilots giant jack folding knife that I’d like to restore. I’m in need of 2 original handle screws, 1 scale & an original pouch/sheath for it. Would anyone have any of these for sale? I appreciate the help.

Well the good news is you have a good saw. Those are usually broken.

I’d look for a donor with a broken saw. Finding one with good scales might be a challenge. Most seem to have shrunk.

The pouches are scarce. Most of the pouches Ive seen have a hole for a bail. So they’re incorrect for your knife.

These knives were being sold long after the war ended.

As mentioned, usually those saw blades snap off at some length. Nice find!

I'm not so sure these are specific to pilots or United or and whatever "GR Mich" means. My grandfather was in the Navy and he was issued the same knife.
I now have it in my collection (sorry no extra parts) Personally, I wouldn't call it a Jack either since that usually implies 2 blades on the same end.

They were part of a bail out kit for pilots & crew on bombers. United Cutlery was located in Grand Rapids Michigan.

Yeah, mine is from Colonial too. That makes sense, The Gov't usually had multiple companies supply military issue arms and knives. Even the USN Mark V dive helmet saw at least five different companies making the same pattern.

I have seen Clonial, United, and possibly another I read about that was a no name (literally no name on the knife) sold to the public after the war. The no name I saw on eBay and was a very bright polished or nickel plated, not like the military issue-but again this was on eBay.

I have looked there. Very possible that I overlooked something though, I’ll never claim to be the sharpest knife in the drawer. Thank you
