An Actually Authentic Japanese Knife

Don't know anything about these, Kim, other than it's a fixed blade with a funky fishtail pommel.
I remember seeing those sheaths as a kid though!

If you were to post pictures of the other knives that you feel have no value, you might be surprised at the response you get.
Lots of folks here love to buy up lots of garbage knives and restore or repair them, so you never know.
You could either sell them or donate them to these folks if you were so inclined. Jus' sayin'!

I thought your explanation was perfect and to the point.
I would only suggest pictures, otherwise you won't likely get much response.
We have contests here that will give you the chance to gift one or more knives to anyone of your choice, so that's a possibility, as well as the "Knives for sale or trade" section, so you have choices.
How could anyone think that giving away or selling your knives at a much reduced price is being a snob, certainly not me girlfriend!

As for the little knife you posted photos of, is 3.75 inches the length of the blade or the overall length? (I could almost assume the former.) I'm far from expert, but I'd think it's a fairly inexpensive piece made specifically for the export trade by who knows what manufacturer. I like it!

And since you are kinda new here, I will remind you to keep back a few of the worst knives for our POS exchange this Spring, if you want to participate.
It is where names are randomly drawn from among participants, and you ship that one person a POS (piece of ... well, you get it!) knife. Or knives. Or knife plus tool, plus parts, etc. Some even throw in a good knife or two.
Often the same bad knife gets recycled year after year, and you start to recognize one from pictures.
Look it up and read a few pages from some exchanges. It is LOTS of fun!

LOL - trust me - no one will want to trade for these. They are terrible tactical knives - I only collect custom knives...so there goes the snob part sticking its ugly face out. I also collect antique knives, but only cool ones.

I think you're being too hard on yourself, girl, my accumulating methods are the same as yours custom, antique, and unusual knives from all over the world, and I don't consider that as being a snob, more like selective but that's me, you obviously feel differently.
And of course I was waving my hand back and forth while snapping my fingers 3x! lol!

I just got this from a Goodwill auction. It's about 3.75" long and it came in a little leather sheath that's also stamped Japan on the back of it.

I'm not sure what it is, so any guesses?

Anyhow the first knife, resembles a Valor, and I am just saying resembles..mine is a Valor..in the first picture. Second picture is an Alamo..but it is 5 inches closed swing guard

It looks a lot like the tiny souvenir knives that I used to love when I was a kid. They would be a park souvenir shops and at places on the main highways like Stuckey’s.

I like that one, Kim, and I have a similar Will & Finck horse-head model, made in Japan also!

I got that knife at the same time as I got these 2, Kim, and all 3 came from ebay.
The horse-head is also a Will & Finck, made in Japan, and the bottom dagger is a Samuel C. Wragg, also made in Japan.
The horse-head is the most comfortable dagger to handle that I've felt so far, it settles right in like a good handshake!
The bolsters and pommel on your knife and the ones on my Wragg are the same, and the one's on my 2 horse-head's are the same as each other, but different than the other one's.
