I have to learn how to do research like you, my gosh, thank you so much! That was some serious detective work on your part! I have to ask how you were able to figure that out with such little information, because my husband and couldn't find anything.
Wish I had a good answer and method, but this was blind luck 🍀
I saw a Guttman made Hen and Rooster on eBay that I liked(whittler pattern), and searched for other Guttman knives. I scrolled down a few,saw that knife, and remembered seeing your post so I copied the link and the rest you know. Glad it helped you. That’s the power of AAPK though, I’ve never seen a knife like yours before and now we both know.

NICE catch, C-W, teriffic research! ::tu::
The 2 knives have the same numbers stamped and everything! ::ds::
If you haven't seen Kim's knife before, perhaps you haven't seen this one either! ::shrug::
Kim's is a forward lock release and mine is a back lock release and mine is a Parker, other than that they're pretty similar though!
Heavy and well made!

That's a great looking knife. Early example of a tanto blade.

How bout', when either of us posts a knife the other attempts to outshine it with their copy/example, and we'll see who gets more compliments on their knife? ::hmm::
The only rule should be that the 2 knives are quite similar, just like on this page with our 2 Tanto's. ::huff::
Or, we could simply carry-on and consider our recent comments as an attempt at humor, cuz I personally have enough on my plate to keep track of! ::handshake:: ::mdm:: lol!

Sounds good, Kim! ::tu::
You're not nearly as knife illiterate as you think, every post you read and post yourself is a bit more knowledge tucked away in your grey matter waiting to come to the surface when you need it.
You don't need to be here for long before you're considered a veteran, so keep-on reading and posting and you'll get there.
Have a knife day, gal! ::handshake::

I only get to use that one when I'm talkin' with a lady, glad you got a chuckle! ::handshake::
My knife is an inexpensive Coursolle "Yatagan" slip-joint I recently purchased from www.knives-of-france.com in Texas. They build them in France and ship them over to be sold. It's a safe site.
The image you see is of a duck hunter pointing his rifle skyward, and it's raised, likely stamped from the inside out.

I'm afraid this is where our little competition is gonna stall, Kim, cuz this is the absolute only knife I own that has more than one blade, and zero with scrimshaw, so take that you snake in the grass! ::smack::
