I ran across something of interest in the knife collection that I believe to be a fancy knife opening tool. would like some more data on it. If you can't see well in this picture, it has a finger on it with the inscription finger stamped on the center of that finger. On the back of it there is the number 7.
PS not for sale I like it and I am gonna put it to good use...

Re: Finger
It’s called a “knife pick”. Originally made by cutlers for their own use, to save wear and tear on their fingernails. Then they were provided to knife salesmen. Eventually cutleries began making and selling them to collectors. Some of the older ones can be worth pretty good money, but a newer one can be bought pretty reasonably. I carry one on my keychain. You can buy them in AAPK stores occasionally. https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/ca ... ick-opener
I’m not familiar with the finger mark but someone may know more about it.
