I just got this knife last night and I know nothing about it I'd like to what the scales are

Don't really know bout the brand. But I feel sure it's bone handled and a very pretty knife.

Handles appear to be jigged bone. Nice looking knife.
I know nothing about the brand 'Kit Carson'. Perhaps this German maker produced the knife to take advantage of the American market, just like the German made 'Jim Bowie' brand. I doubt that 'Kit Carson' was a manufacturer, just a brand name.
