Thanks, researched it and found it to be a slightly rare Model "78". Read my post in the "Queen" forum. Very interesting. J.O'.

Not normally my thing but too sweet to pass up. It has no model number that I can find. Any info, date, etc. appreciated. J.O'.
::oh_my:: Sweet sassy malassy!!! ::oh_my:: J.O. That is amazing! ::tu:: ::tu:: What a great find! I collect Queen (I had family on my mom's side of the family that worked in the old queen factory in the 20's 30's and 40's), so I love seeing people find old Queens in great shape. ::nod::

Too me it looks like it has a "Scagel" style blade/knife appearance, however, I don't know nut'en 'bout nut'en... ::paranoid:: so take that for what it is worth. I'll just say it again ... ::hmm:: ...you done got a beautiful knife there!

That is one gorgeous bowie!
I too have been tempted by some very nice bowie knives, but unlike you I didn't pull the trigger for any, I bought autos instead! lol!

Feel free to post some more pictures of that beautiful Queen whenever you get the chance... I only ask you don't take any on the beach in rough seas with all that ocean water splashing around... ::skeptic:: with spray and foam flying about in all directions... ::skeptic::

Nice knife. My bro has one but with a differnt handle configuration.
I picked up my July custom by Matt McAlevy this am. A hunter set. The Whitetail knife is 9.75" overall and the turkey knife is 8". cpm 154 ss blades with stabilized spalted maple handles & blackliners. The double sheath kinda trips my trigger!

bought this little queen a few weeks ago at the flea market with cracked and broken winterbottm bone handles. Had these new maple handles put on and had it buffed a bit. Doesnt look like a 1950 model any more but I still like it.

Love this blade profile so I grabbed this Western Crosstrail (even though it's made in China)

Id love to have a set like that! Hows about a knifes out shot? I went round & round trying to decide on which sheath set up to have done, opted for the layered look in the end.
