www.agaknive.com!

Post by Madmarco »

Has anyone dealt with or even heard of this company?
They seem to be selling genuine AGA Campolin knives for next to nothing.
Seems suspect to me!

I don't know anything about the knives or the company, but if it sounds good to be true you know the rest.

Very suspicious! I don't see anything on their website about the company (even their name), or where they are located. And the prices definitely seem too good to be true. ::hmm::

They claim to be in Illinois but I searched the street address and it only exists in Cali.

A couple points of Interest.
CNOBIN is a domain name provider, not the actual seller and they are out of Hong Kong.
The domain was registered in March of this year.
agaknive.com with a V is a clue, along with all the various typos and grammatical errors on their site, LoL.

Still I kinna wanna buy all those knives. (but no, no no no no...maybe...NO!) ::td::

A fine command of the English language is apparent in the URL....knive is not an English word however the plural of knife is knives ::paranoid::

I took a 15 inch ring pull to checkout to see what was going to happen and a screen popped up that an error occurred. They can’t even take your money correctly.

I considered that but my name address isn’t that big of a deal. I couldn’t give a credit card number. It’s a nice looking site I have to say! They worked hard on it.

Thanks for all the research, guys, you found stuff I'd of had no idea where to even look for, particularly the tech info Jeff posted! ::handshake::
It started to seem suspicious when I spotted 3 AGA Campolin models that I've been following for months but are never in stock anywhere, not even at the official AGA Campolin 3Knives.com site. It got me wondering how are these guys getting stock when the big distributors can't. I also attempted a faux checkout like Smitty did with the same "Error" result. What's the point in running a scam if you're not gonna take the money, duh!

I tried a faux checkout again, and this time I got as far as having to verify my information, but had to stop there of course.
Even though I know it's a scam, I'm tempted to buy something!!! ::facepalm::
