Re: new york knife co
Thanks for the reply. I did a quick search, and found that a Walter Denniston had lived in Orange county, NY from the time of his birth in 1855 to his passing in 1922. There was no occupation listed or any hint as to why he may have been presented a knife. That is a cool find!galvanic1882 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 09, 2023 6:47 pm Thanks sorry for the crappy picture, etches is 1900 ORANGE COUNTY 1900, on the shield in script is the person I believe it was given to, Walter Denniston

Great lineup Mike. Hard to pick a favorite out of those four. Thanks Ike
Here's a display knife I've had for a while. Doesn't have the bails on each end for hanging in a window.

Oh no! Must have looked at the wrong user profile, could have sworn you're the guy that's interested in mermaid figurals and pink Italian stilettos.
Seriously though, you have top notch taste in cutlery, and my accumulation really can't hold a candle to your stellar collection, but I had fun and I hope you do to. I think today is the day....

Fantastic ! The red handled knife is just scary. Is the king pointed blade used for bloodletting or some other purpose?
