What Is Your "Holy Grail" Knife

Still looking for help with a perfect bone replacement on this knife. I have two of the larger compass if somebody wanted to take a chance on cutting a big hole in a perfect worm grooved bone. Only thing wrong with this knife is some very light spots from being in a box with Case celluloid knives.

I bought this knife from Tom Maxom about 40 years ago, still like it. Cattaraugus 12839 with compass.

Larry, I had to smile at your Grail knife because an original Hells Belle by Bagwell is indeed a Grail knife for me. I have the excellent reproduction by Ontario but of course it's not the same thing.

One of the Grail knives I was fortunate to acquire was a Jerry Fisk Bowie.

I'm not a collector, just an accumulator, so I don't really have a Holy Grail Knife. I'd had a yen for a Puma White Hunter since the late '50s and finally got one a few years ago so that was one itch scratched.

One of the guys in our hooch in VN had a Randall Mod. 1-7 which gave me the wannas. I could never afford one so I did the next best thing and bought a used Blackjack 1-7.

T-dog, I appreciate the "WOW!" I will point out that the handle of the Fisk Bowie is made of African Blackwood which is stronger than ebony.

Marco, my Fisk Bowie is an early work. He has only gotten better with time. I won't bore you with the details but will just point out that he became a major force in the knife industry especially through his teaching around the world. He is in the highest echelon of knife makers.

Times have changed and now my grail knife would be a four blade Terrier automobilist’s knife.

Not sure they actually made it, but they made it as a Robeson and the time period of that one would be right for a Terrier.
