Boy scout knives advice
Anybody know of knife makers other than Camillus that make boyscout type knives? By boy scout knife I mean a knife with a main blade(duh!), can opener, bottle opener and awl. Preferbly in jigged bone or wood handles, not red cellidor scales like Swiss Army Knives.

I'm not aware of any USA company currently building scout/utility knives. There are, however, plenty of good lightly used models available on ebay. My wife has a few for sale in her AAPK store, Archway Cutlery.

along with what John (Ridgegrass) and Phil (Philco) have said, vintage official knife manufacturers also include Bear & Sons, Buck, Frontier, Gerber, Ka-Bar, Kershaw, Kingston, Presto, Robeson, Schrade Walden, Utica Cutlery Company, Wenger, Western, and Zippo. You might want to look at https://www.scoutshop.org/camping/knive ... nives.html which is the Official BSA Scout Shop that sells Case, Buck, Leatherman, Helle, and whole buck of Chinese manufactured knives.expressox wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 1:24 pm Anybody know of knife makers other than Camillus that make boyscout type knives? The only decent knife I saw with a main blade, can opener, bottle opener, and awl is the Swiss Army Tinker, the other https://www.scoutshop.org/bsa-deluxe-po ... 15782.html is a $30 Chinese manufactured knife.

You could also have a look at what’s available in the AAPK stores https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/ca ... mit=Search
Or simply go to eBay and do a search for scout knives - there are hundreds available, from multiple makers and eras.
And for a good tutorial about Scout/utility knives from all makers see: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=12874
