Re: Any Train Enthusiasts Out There?
Nice Illinois Central "Heritage" power, Ike. Anyone know why CP is running an Erie Lakawana Heritage unit? I figured that would be Norfolk Southern or possibly CSX.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

We call em TriClops. Not that many built they were early wide/safety cabs from the late 80’s BN had some. Up had a few. SOO line had some. I know today BNSF has some running around as well as NS.

Burlington Northern rolling coal train somewhere in the Sand Hills of Nebraska. Great picture Unfortunately I can’t claim it as my own. Just a great shot of a TriClops

Re: Any Train Enthusiasts Out There?
You know I also heard a train coming once...
I hear the train a-comin', it's rolling 'round the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when
I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a-rollin' on down to San Antone
When I was just a baby, my mama told me, "Son
Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns"
But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowin', I hang my head and cry
I bet there's rich folks eatin' in a fancy dining car
They're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars
Well, I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free
But those people keep a-movin', and that's what tortures me
Well, if they freed me from this prison, if that railroad train was mine
I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line
Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay
And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away

CSX power in Warsaw NC. This CSX branch is the original WIlmington and Weldon RR. OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

A very nice photo OC. I like the light and shade aspect of it. Not at all common in train shots.
Does anyone have photos of Rock Island and/or Illinois Central engines?
