My early (made between 1933-1936) SA Dagger, made by C Linder, Solinger, Germany. Marked Ns for a member of Sturmabtailung (SA) in Niedersachen, Germany. Great condition because it have been in a drawer at my late uncle here in Sweden for years. The blade is still greased.

That's a great looking old knife! You have a real treasure.Oledadsknives wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 12:20 am This is a fixed blade that my grandfather made way back when out of an old sawmill blade. Made a sheath with what he could scrounge up I guess. It ain’t pretty but he made it to use. He passed in the early 70’s and My mom had it in the drawer in the kitchen and told me they always used it to clean fish because it was always razor sharp. Dad passed it to me about 20 years ago. Good to know where I got my love of knife making and collecting from!

Do you know the story behind how he acquired it?
Yes, it’s a fantastic knife. I love the design of the handle. Think they copy an old Roman knife design.
The sadest is that we found a few great knifes in a drawer after my uncle passed away november last year. But I know he was in the swedish army the last years of WWII. Think he had it in a drawer since late 1940’s.

It's not hard to see why it's your favorite, Dog, it looks solid and very well made.
And it's a KA-BAR.
Nice knife, bud!

Killer knife. Love the old WW2 relics. Uncle Grant brought home a similar one from the war. He spent weeks in a fox hole eating nothing but beer and raisins and brought back some killer souveneirs. That's a sweet relic and sweet dagger. Love the embellishments they put on them.TomTop wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 12:14 pm My early (made between 1933-1936) SA Dagger, made by C Linder, Solinger, Germany. Good looker GSP, wondered if that handle is comfy in hand? Never seen one with those shaped covers like that. Very interesting and a looker. If it's comfy too, well hey, cannot beat that.
