I think I can offer an opinion on the Bulldog. It is BKC#283, was made in 1984 in a quantity of 201 pieces. It is part of the Serpentine tobacco series and is a very collectable knife It booked for 275.00 mint most recently. That being said I have seen a lot better stag on that particular knife and sometimes the stag doesn't match real well on both sides on that series. I had a guy at a show recently try to sell me that knife, or one like it, for 250.00 or so, he wasn't set up but was just walking around. I had one just like it with me, better stag, I would have taken 150.00 for. I recently sold one on Ebay just like it for 147.00 and was very pleased with the sale. I think his minimum bid is way too high in today's market. Didn't mean to get in front of Hukk but he can follow up with his opinion. :)

As far as the Bulldog goes, I would not touch it, maybe at $115, but certainly not at $285.00, seller is confused. ::doh:: In a 1984 release there was BKC 283 with a quantity of 204 pieces and it was a 3 5/8 Serpentine Stockman, not a 3 1/2 inch. Today that knife books at $150 for a mint knife, the seller is asking almost twice optimum book value. This is the second time he has listed some of these knives. The pearl Bulldog Sunfish he has listed for $265, I got for less than 1/2 that price and it was a prototype. He is new, but his prices are way out of line, poor pictures to boot. Stay away from his Bulldogs, Pictures are too bad to tell much! ::smirk::
First Generation Bulldogs did not come in a box.

That's what I get for doing 5 things at once. I agree with olderdogs, as this seller is trying to "Force the Market" and will fail, again. He is putting an extremely high minimum bid that he will be extremely lucky to find a victim--er buyer. That's the problem with eBay, a knife sells for a large sum and next week there are 10 more out there like it. I metioneded the other Bulldog listing as being too high also. Since I see 2 that I know are too high, I figure that they are all to high even though I'm really not qualified to answer on the Case knives, that's just my 2 cents! Good Luck! 8)
