What do you call a back spring that isn’t a back spring?

Wondering if this feature has a technical name? This SOG Arcitech doesn’t use a back spring so what is this piece of metal called?

I believe that is called a "back spacer" or just "spacer"

Thanks Q, I thought it was something simple but my mind convinced me that there has to be a more “technical” term for it.
