Hi Friends,
I inherited a bunch of knives from my dad. I have these two Northwoods Stag Barlow #8 knives that I'd like to determine their value.
There's not alot of information on them. They are rare as only 200 or less were made. This was made in 2007 and the original price was $175.
These two are in unused and uncarried condition. They don't appear to have ever been sharpened. However, there are no boxes for them. Dad had them displayed in a glass case and I supposed the boxes just got away. There are a couple of small bits of a dark spot but it appears to just be some corrosion that can be buffed out. It's not pitted. Anyone have any idea what these should list for?
I appreciate the help.

Now we're talkin, Mandy, those are my kindda knives!
I like straight unencumbered single spear-point knives, and your 2 fit that bill perfectly.
As far as value I don't know, but being older rare stag covered Northwoods folders it wouldn't really surprise me if they're worth double of what they were originally, but that is strictly my untrained opinion, in actuality they could be much more/less.
One of our experts on this knife will eventually see your post and perhaps give you more accurate information.
If they were mine I'd keep em', I do know that!

Mandy those are from the Dave Shirley era of Northwoods knife co. When a lot of his knives were made by Queen Cutlery Co. but most of the Scagel branded knives he would contract out to custom makers. I can't say who made that particular model but I've seen many of the Scagel models sell for over $450 on Ebay as a matter of fact I paid over that for a model 2. The current market seems to be a bit depressed at the moment though in my view so you never know. I'd throw them out there for $450 each and see if you get any bites.
