Thanks, I like laminated woods, and I like the way they can be laid out, like the striped look too.

Thanks woodwalker, me too, one of my favorite bones, the older it gets the more it looks like egg yolk with that tint of orange you mention. And you can't even see all the little speckles and spots, lines, grain, pores and all this other stuff down in there that is seen in person. It has great depth, I can't capture it with my cell camera. Just can't get it. But you can imagine all the "more" of everything in this bone. GEC smooth yellow, goldenrod, autumn gold bone etc. just sends me into a tizy, I'm a sucker for them all. They have made some beautiful stuff the last few years. Shout out to SSK Mark for getting me this one, one of the best I've seen to me from that run. Loved it from the moment I got it, for color and the sexy curvaceous frame and slender pivot with a good wide spear blade like I love. Flawless fit and finish, snap, centering, centering. And it's got that greasy sweet movement and action and sound. Like you just oiled it when you didn't, and quiet like it's dampened. And it has the kind of action when it's going into the half stop like you see in the old Coyote/Roadrunner cartoons, where the Roadrunner goes from a hundred miles an hour to a dead stop with that spring like slowing back to standing still. Thanks for the mention. ::handshake:: ::tu::

Great knives, I always enjoy seeing the posts here.

The last couple of days I have been using this Native 5 Knifecenter exclusive, cruwear and satin g10.

It has a dressy but not fancy feel to it.

Missed this post. Love those bones, that Blade Forums bone slays me every time I see it. love the reddish edges where they ground into it and the Cattle knife groovy bone and that plum color rocks. Beautiful pair and such a great group of blade choices with those two. ::tu:: ::tu::

Quick Steel, that's a fine S&M too. Beautiful covers. ::tu:: ::tu::

Iman, I too love the orange-like covers. And your descriptions today are almost scandalously good. ::tu::

mqqn, The Native is one of Spyderco's best designs. Years ago I bought two for my sister. When she goes jogging she keeps one of them palmed in each hand. Should she ever be accosted on her early morning runs by some cretin it would take about one second for him to realize he had just made the worst mistake of his life. She runs with confidence.
