I know all too well how that goes. I've had to re-do a few photos because one of the cats just had to see what I was doing.

Dan, ::hmm:: ... I am thinking of an "Out-Take" thread... a thread for bungled shots... When the knife falls off the rock/stand/pedestal just as you take the shot, ::doh:: ... or your pets sticks their noses in the photo as you "click" ::facepalm:: ...a Javalina sneaks up on you... ::dang:: etc...etc...

Thanks a lot, appreciate the comment. I don't always mention them all but always like your shots of the desert, the wildlife, the rusty metal and rocks. Gives me inspiration and some level or standard to work towards. And I love the horn covers on that congress above. Beautiful stuff. ::tu:: ::tu::  Thanks again.

Was cleaning out some old boxes and came across a diary from the 80s. Had forgotten where I put this old ticket stub. Who knows, might be worth something someday. But never will it be worth more than the memory of being there and the game it was. Lived about 80 miles from Portland, never been to an NBA game before, but managed to get some nose bleed seats for $7. We showed up about 4 hours early because I heard somewhere that the Birdman warmed up before anyone else was in the building. It was true. NOBODY from either team was out there, but Bird was shooting from all over the court, putting on a clinic. Not even a ball boy to shag his balls. Probably about 30 people in the whole old Memorial Coliseum. Well, I had never seen him in person before, figured I might never see him again and was right about that. So I sheepishly went out on the court, no security or Coliseum employees around, no one to stop me. Walked up to Bird, apologized for disturbing him, and asked if he would sign my ticket. Told him I always wore his number when I played. He didn't change expression at all, he said nothing, just took my pen and ticket and signed and went right back to work like it never happened. He played left handed most of the game just for fun if you don't know already. Lets see Jordan, James or Curry, Embidd, Jokic, etc. do that. Very close game all the way. Blazers had a great team with Clyde the Glide, Kiki Vandeweghe, Sam Bowie, Jerome Kersey. They were the only team to beat the Celtics at home that year so this was a revenge game for Boston. Larry Legend made a runner to tie the game with two seconds left and sent it to overtime. Then down by 1 with a few seconds to play and he makes another runner to win it in overtime. I'm standing on my seat cheering with glee while all these Blazer fans around me are fuming and giving me the evil eye. Greatest game I have ever witnessed in person and probably the best on that road trip out west for the Celtics. Incredible. The stub and autograph have held up pretty well for almost 4 decades. Hope I can thank him someday.

My only views of Bird were all on film. Still, that a mere mortal has such sublime talent is food for thought.

Definitely! I bet there would be some hilarity in there.

As always, a whole bunch of knice carries from everyone! ::tu:: I had these two on hand to help out with a wiring project yesterday. The Camillus 27's slightly sharpened screwdriver worked great to remove the outer sheath from Romex.

Thank you Jtx. Glad you like it. I'm very pleased with the current quality of Henckles pocket knives which, as you may know, are being made by Boker to Henckel's specifications.

Didn't make it to the office yesterday thanks to a neighbor on 8th Floor's leaking pipes. No damage for us luckily.

Today's EDC is a Winchester Waterfall Whittler Wednesday. Watch out, it could grenade! 🤭
